Lilian (Lily) Barraclough

Lilian (Lily) Barraclough is a longtime youth climate activist, researcher, and writer living and working on the ancestral lands of the Anishnaabe, Haudenosaunee, Attiwandaron peoples, and the treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit in Guelph, Ontario. She is a PhD Student in Social Practice and Transformational Change at the University of Guelph conducting research on the impacts of the climate emergencies on 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and alternative pathways for climate justice policy. She has a background in climate grief/mental health research, youth activism, and climate change adaptation and has worked in ENGOs, government, and a wide variety research disciplines. Outside of climate work, Lily plays multiple instruments and sings in a choir, and loves spending time exploring nature with her partner, dog and horses!
