As the Education Program Coordinator for the Wetland Discovery Centre, you will be responsible for the high quality of interpretive programs for school and educator, onsite and offsite in English (and French would be an asset). You will also be responsible for the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of nature interpreters.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Hiring, training, scheduling and supervising interpreters
Applying for and managing bursaries
Setting standards and ensuring technical accuracy of the Centre’s Education Program (curriculum-based)
Developing new education programming (onsite, offsite, and/or virtual)
Coordinating, planning, delivering, and evaluating educator workshops
Compiling statistics and submitting various reports.
Serving as a media spokesperson

Reporting to the Major Gifts Manager, the Events & Development Coordinator will work collegially as part of the fundraising and communications team with program advisors, colleagues and volunteers, to represent rare and our needs to the broader community to build support – both social and financial – for our mission and programs. You will work in close collaboration with the Communications Officer. The role requires sensibility, creativity and flexibility to build a strong community outreach and engagement system, with the ultimate goal to support rare’s major campaigns. You will have three overlapping areas of responsibility all with a focus on community engagement – events, annual fundraising, and volunteer and alumni engagement.

Earth Path is a non-profit organization based in the unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinabeg Nation, or so-called Ottawa region. Since 2013 we have been dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships between people and the natural world through transformative nature programs. We offer these programs for people from all walks of life, including youth, teens, adults, educators, families, and schools.
This position is available to people interested in picking up shifts on a casual basis when we need a supply staff on program. There will also be opportunities for longer stretches of employment if desired.

Program Leader - Six Nations engagement
The Starfish Canada is seeking to hire a Program Leader to oversee and liaise with organizations and schools in the Six Nations Reserve and community and nearby regions.
The successful applicant will support the co-design of environmental health workshops for teachers in the Six Nations Reserve and Hamilton Schools. The workshops will center on youth environmental literacy in Haudenosaunee cultural perspectives while helping students translate their learning into tangible climate action and community engagement projects.
The successful candidate will support the strategic direction of the project, guide and sustain partnerships, and collaborate with Indigenous and non-Indigenous teachers throughout the course of the project.
