In partnership with Students on Ice (SOI), and with the generous support of the Lawson Foundation, we worked to equip three cohorts of SOI alumni with the tools and opportunities to take climate action in their communities, and on the international stage.
Through team retreats, independent project implementation, and participation at United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) meetings, participants learned about climate change policy, issues and projects; gained leadership and project development skills; and were empowered and supported in the design and implementation of both personal community projects and group practices. We supported thirty participants between the ages of 18 and 25, from across Canada, to create impact in their own communities and internationally.
